"What the caterpillar thinks is the end of the world, the butterfly knows is only the beginning."
My name is Taryn Carwyn. I provide quality, affordable counseling services at two convenient offices. One office serves Brighton, Henderson, Ft. Lupton, Lochbuie, Dacono, Frederick and Weld County. The other office in located near I-25 and serves Northglenn, Thornton, Westminster, Broomfield and the Denver Metro area. I offer individual, couples and family counseling as well as groups and workshops.
I am passionate about working with people in relationships. My focus in relationship and sex therapy is on improving communication and problem-solving skills, understanding patterns, and improving the sense of connection between partners. Some of the relationship issues I work with include communication difficulties, sexual issues, negotiating open and non-traditional relationships and changes in the relationship.
I offer a highly personalized approach tailored to each of my clients individual needs to help them attain the personal growth they’re striving for, in a comfortable and supportive environment. With an integration of complimentary approaches, I draw from a variety of methodologies and techniques to incorporate what is most helpful for each individual. Together with each client, I work to develop their strengths and achieve life goals.
At the same time, I draw upon over 15 years of experience and training to provide you with tools and ideas for new ways of being that you might not be able to find on your own. Often we get lost in our journey towards a healthier self, go down a wrong path if you will, and get stuck in ways of dealing with things that may have worked once, but no longer do. You may have experienced trauma, abuse, or parents who were unable to give us what we needed. You may have had outwardly "normal" experiences that still left us feeling out of sorts, depressed, anxious, or unable to have satisfying relationships. Whatever the reason for the possible missteps you may have taken, it is my task to assist in locating these outdated ways of dealing with life, and to offer up more authentic and potentially fulfilling alternatives.
